Safety Risks Analysis: Moderating Effect of Risk Level on Mitigation Measures Using PLS-SEM Technique

The Malaysian construction sector registers higher fatal accidents than the manufacturing even though latter has highest cases of accidents. There is a need to implement effective safety risk management. main objective this study explore moderating effect level on mitigation measures implemented. For purpose, factors causing risks and practical taken by contractors mitigate these were identified, in addition operationalization likelihood severity using suitable rating scales. Descriptive analysis shows that fall-related accident most likely severe at high level. Results from multivariate SmartPLS 4 show have significant positive relationship with measures, actually heightens relationship. As result, implemented sites impacts may be inadequate unless considered during planning, design, management safety. Therefore, must take into account types risks, as well factors.
